» RJD2 Takes Us Back With “Colossus”
It looks like RJD2 crawled out from under his rock of pretense. Once imminently connected to the world of hip-hop, who later pushed his artistic vision to the point of lunacy, RJ seems to understand that his true calling is to redefine hip-hop infused production not adding synths to his voice. This track “Let There be Horns”, and its accompanying video, gives me hope.
Great hope, that we might be treated to the joys of his earlier creations. Reminiscent of his instant classic “Deadringer,” I cannot wait to put on the old ear goggles and enjoy that beautiful grit RJ creates.
